Add a "transparent" highlighting to remove quickly some results
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

Suggested here, I'm copying the proposal:

Issue
As a user I'd like to hide irrelevant changes without resetting ( fetching new) recent changes.

Background
Currently, recent changes has massive clutter. The only way to remove items from the list of changes is to remove / add a filter, which in turn fetches new changes. Highlighting somewhat reduces this problem, but it increases the cognitive load as the user must look for highlighted changes, and it provides no way to simply ignore the rest of the changes.

Proposed solution
*A "null"/ transparent highlight filter that hides all changes that relate to the specific filter; or
*A notion of primary filters that when applied simply hide "non-highlighted changes"

Declined: It's an interesting idea, but the highlighting functions are already complex. Adding this unfamiliar concept of a "color" that erases would be too difficult to explain, I feel.
