Redesign the short URL link for "embdedded" Wikidata queries to improve visibility
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

Outdated:
A standard Wikidata query-service query includes a link-button which provides a short URL for the query.

However, if the query is used in the "embed.html" form, no such button is provided.

The service should either:

  1. Provide a button on "embedded" queries (preferred)
  1. Provide two buttons on the standard query one as presently, the other for a short link for the "embedded" form.

This already exists:

Do you see that in the embedded form of the query? i.e. with a URL beginning

https://query.wikidata.org/embed.html#SELECT

I do not.

Ah, now I see what you mean - the short URL is to the embedded form - but then there is no short URL to the non-embedded form.

Sure there is. The one in the query toolbar is for the non-embedded link.

Thanks. In that case, perhaps clearer labelling would be in order?
