The Content Translation contributions pop-up location and behavior assumes that it's a link at the top of the screen, and it's broken in Timeless

Description

The Content Translation contributions pop-up location and behavior assumes that it's a link at the top of the screen, and it's broken in the Timeless skin.

In Timeless, most of the personal menu is hidden by default and appears on hover as a pop-up vertical menu, so reaching the Contributions pop-up is hard.

For now this is not an urgent bug to fix in Content Translation because Timeless is an optional experiment. However, it's worth thinking how can this pop up be made more robust and adapt itself to different skins without making assumptions about the location of the Contributions link.

This is how I experience this problem

If I click on Contributions, I see a sub-menu that appears. However it is rather difficult to slect one sub-pages in this seb-menu because it disappears quite easily.

Isarra subscribed.

Unassigning as I don't really have the resources to do anything about this, but can definitely confirm it to be an issue. We basically have a submenu hidden in another submenu, and no visual affordances to even indicate the second one even exists to begin with until you hover over 'contributions' specifically (doubly hilarious for me to reproduce as hover is currently partially broken for me in-browser).

Anyway, we're going to run into this in any skin that does a user menu as a dropdown, which is a serious problem because that's basically where the internet seems to have gone overall, design-wise, in the past 10-20 years. Wikimedia-land is slow, but headed that way too. Something more robust/flexible needs to be sorted out here.
