Eileenmcnaughton renamed this task from Figure out a way to increase php time outs on import jobs to Figure out a way to increase gateway time outs on import jobs.Nov 30 2017, 12:07 AM

Note: 'Gateway Time-out' means nginx stopped listening, not that apache stopped processing. Though @Jgreen says the nginx timeout is 10 minutes. Maybe that's not working right?

fwiw nginx logged two timeouts in the past week:

2017/11/27 19:46:10 [error] 26007#26007: *21006 upstream timed out (110: Connection timed out) while reading response header from upstream, client: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, server: civicrm.wikimedia.org, request: "POST /civicrm/contribute/search HTTP/1.1", upstream: "http://127.0.0.1:803/civicrm/contribute/search", host: "civicrm.wikimedia.org", referrer: "https://civicrm.wikimedia.org/civicrm/contribute/search?force=1"

2017/11/29 23:38:59 [error] 25968#25968: *46373 upstream timed out (110: Connection timed out) while reading response header from upstream, client: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, server: civicrm.wikimedia.org, request: "POST /admin/import_checks?page=2 HTTP/1.1", upstream: "http://127.0.0.1:803/admin/import_checks?page=2", host: "civicrm.wikimedia.org", referrer: "https://civicrm.wikimedia.org/admin/import_checks?page=2"

This task has been assigned to the same task owner for more than two years. Resetting task assignee due to inactivity, to decrease task cookie-licking and to get a slightly more realistic overview of plans. Please feel free to assign this task to yourself again if you still realistically work or plan to work on this task - it would be welcome!
