After a poll with the FR community, we decided to switch to interactive maps.

For performance reasons, I'm not sure we can do this at the moment.

Is there any estimation about when it will be possible?
Shouldn't the status be stalled instead of declined if it will be possible in the future?

6 years later, did anything change or are the servers still too weak?

This was further addressed two years ago by the tech staff in 6098d3f.

I suppose there is no intention to disable static maps on more wikis, and this task is really still declined.

I'm guessing you meant T291736, thanks for the link by the way.

Indeed, it doesn't look promising.
