Blog post - The story of Wiki Loves Monuments in Ukraine
Open, MediumPublic

Description

Wiki Loves Monuments is a federated photo competition and this means every national competition brings their own local taste and way of doing things to the contest. Ukraine is no exception here. In our conversations with Vira, we have learned that the contest is being organized in a special way in Ukraine, there is a lot of focus on creating a community and providing a framework where participants feel they belong to a community. This blog post will capture the how and why of Wiki Loves Monuments in Ukraine, at least in the past couple of years.

Timelines
Tentatively, February 2018

Audience
Other Wiki Loves Monuments organizers interested in learning about the contest in Ukraine in general, but also learning about some of the mechanisms one can try to create a stronger feeling of community

Draft
Lily comes up with the first skeleton of sections, Vira takes it and expands/modify/etc. They will iterate after that.

This is actually on my plate now before it goes back to Vira's. (Just to be clear that the delay is, as always, on me.;)

Removing Wiki-Loves-Monuments 2018 tag as that was two years ago; adding general Wiki-Loves-Monuments tag.
