Discussion and consensus in favor can be found at https://es.wikipedia.org/?oldid=103966239#Creadores_de_cuentas so I'll prepare a patch for this. However I won't ask for its merge until they confirm me if they don't need a formal vote.

1aa09e2b39dd made this now the default behaviour on all WMF sites. There's no longer a need to change the local configuration for eswiki.
