Wikistats v2 has a weird localization issues on search
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

https://stats.wikimedia.org/v2 looks great, but I have some issues with the localization. The main text of the page seems to not be localized (that is ok, I do not need it), but the search seems to be localized. So If I want to get the statstics for enwiki, I type "en" on the search bar, but I do not get enwiki. To get enwiki, I have to type "in", (inglés), English in Spanish. Technically this is my fault for my browser preferences, but I would expect to either have most of the things localized, or only in English, but not both. In particular, if I type "en" on the search bar for language, I would expect the English language to show up, no matter the language of my browser.

If I type "enwiki", I would expect to get directly the Wikipedia in English, as an advanced user.

For now let's overwrite the header of the sitematrix request so that we always get English. We'll rethink this once we tackle internationalisation.

I've tested this by changing my browser language and it seems like this problem has been solved by @mforns 's big wikiselector change.

fdans claimed this task.

Thanks, this works nicely now.
