Wiki-ai Travis-CI Image upgrade
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

I propose we upgrade all our images to jessie+ to stay somewhat close to Jenkins' CI, I am willing to do the changes I just want the approval first, and then I will research if we can upgrade safely!

If Travis-CI does eventually offer Debian images, we want a matrix with both Jessie (current production) and Stretch (near-future production).

Travis CI currently supports Ubuntu Trusty and Percise :/ Will work on AS SOON as if/when travis adds debian OSes

Here's an interesting bug, https://github.com/travis-ci/travis-ci/issues/5075

BanzaiMan says,

This (and/or a variant) has been asked before, to allow builds to run on different OS. It is on our long-term roadmap, and we are laying ground work for it, but we do not have ETA.

Reopen? Or look at sbuild even?

I have sent a email earlier (around 11am UTC-6) to travis-ci support Ill update with the answer on this ticket!
