Responsibilities
Program committee member responsibilities include:
helping promote the call for submissions (forwarding to your contacts/communities)
recruiting speakers (some people might have great proposals, but need a little encouragement)
suggesting ideas for keynote and special sessions (workshops, posters, pre-conference activities)
helping design the program (especially if you have an area of particular expertise we will be looking for ‘track leaders’), and
most importantly reviewing the program submissions.
Submission review dates are March 2017 into early April. Program committee members should commit to having availability for reviewing submissions and regular meetings during those times.
We will encourage applicants to put their proposal into thematic areas (which will become the conference ‘tracks’). Submissions will be divided into their likely track and, after an initial assessment to remove ineligible proposals, the assessment process will rank the remaining submissions. This will create the invitation list, and standby list, for each track. The intention is to have a published tentative program in April.
