I am on a Chromebook, went through the authorization windows, and came up back to the "please log in" screen. It appears its working for other people, so I am not sure if this is an error on the Chromebook end, or elsewhere.

Yep, that appears to have worked (ended up doing it in Incognito, to keep from signing out of other stuff).

Then, there may be some conflict with other tool. Cookie that indicate successful logging in is called session which is quite generic name. It should be path-limited but maybe it should be also renamed to something like wmd_session to prevent such kind of conflicts.
