[BUG] Trending card intermittently does not show on the Feed page

Description

Steps to reproduce

On the Feed page, click on the setting button -> Customize the feed -> Deselect all -> only select the Trending
Back to the Feed Page, try to swipe down to refresh the Feed page
Switch to the History tab then back to Explore tab, the Trending cards will show up.
Try to swipe down to refresh the Feed page again

UPDATE: Cannot reproduce it today (Jan 8, 2018)

I can reproduce it today(2018/01/10) around 4:30 p.m. PCT, ~~not sure if it is related to the time issue!?~~

When change search language to zh-hant, the Feed page will load only three cards; after changing tabs and back to the Feed page, it will load the remaining cards.
