Description

Steps to reproduce:

Enable Wikitext syntax highlighting
Open your sandbox
Edit it as source
Type [[foo1|<span>foo2</span>]]

Expected results:

The span tags are highlighted.

Actual results:

The span tags are not highlighted, they are the same black color as the "foo2" text.

Comments:

This is probably similar to T108447 / T170240, but not exactly the same problem.
