Whilst it would be possible to upload a series of rotated card images directly on Commons ( storage isn't an issue I hope. ), I felt that this was an instance where by adding an appropriate option to the file Syntax, (and the template used here) it would be possible to do the required rotation internally, (also effectively swapping over the width and height parameter) interpretation, negating the need for duplicate images to be uploaded.
