Stray grey bar appears when adding new section with 2017 editor due to local gadgets
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Enable 2017 wikitext editor beta feature.
  2. Go to some page that allows using the new section button (most talk pages, and some other pages), e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Deskana/sandbox.
  3. Click the + button in the toolbar to add a new section.

A grey bar is displayed across the screen. It doesn't impair the functionality at all, but it clearly shouldn't be there.

Event Timeline

This bar also appears to appear in some other circumstances, too. Here, I tried editing the sandbox directly rather than adding a new section. Perhaps it's to do with whether the page being displayed is long or short?

Can't reproduce. Could be gadget related?

I disabled a lot of gadgets that I didn't even know I had enabled, and it's gone away.
