Thanks a lot, @Jonas for willing to mentor this project in Google-Summer-of-Code (2018)!

A couple comments:

  • This task misses a few sections that are needed and would be helpful for potential candidates to get started: a brief description of the project, link to the code repository, list of a couple of microtasks, and some getting started instructions. For reference, you could check this project: T185036 (also showcased in GSoC this year).
  • It would be great if you could consider combining this and T187874 into a parent task.

Thanks again for willing to mentor this round! Looks like a great project for the program. If this is your first time mentoring a project in GSoC, you might want to take a look at the roles and responsibilities of a mentor here: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Google_Summer_of_Code/Mentors.

How do we get started here? What are microtasks?

Can someone please share github repo?

The primary repository is in Gerrit, but the GitHub mirror is wikimedia/wikidata-query-gui. The graph explorer is in GraphResultBrowserNodeBrowser.js, I think (but I’m not quite sure).

Hi @Jonas I would really like working with this project for GSoC 2018! thanks for instructions which helped me setting it locally

ping @Jonas @Smalyshev Is there anything remaining in this task from GSoC'18? If not, then please consider marking it as resolved! If yes, then you could move the leftovers to a new task.
