Description

See the service graphs from Feb 21, 16:40 UTC (ignoring the 30 min of downtime, and metrics change). https://grafana.wikimedia.org/dashboard/db/ores?refresh=1m&orgId=1&from=1519229815203&to=1519240555203

We're scoring 3x as much. Is this entirely due to the additional wikis in our config, and a few wikis where the new config has advanced edit models (2x load)?

Two things we can do to help:

  • Turn on debug logging for a bit, to see exactly what's being scored.
  • Write tests for /precache, that cover all the possibilities.
