In T188960 it was discussed and in T189040 it will be developed to suppress edit summary pings from accounts with the bot right.

However, there are some use cases that may benefit from having a bot send a notification in the edit summary.

This is low priority for the Community Tech team, and is outside the scope of the initial T32750 project.
