Visual "switching" between doing a single query on your own wikibase vs federated queries.
Open, Needs TriagePublic

Description

Perhaps a toggle button could provide an easy "switch" between querying a single wikibase instance or federated instances. This doesn't even need to be a button, but some form of visual cue that prompts/reminds users where they are executing the query (change in colour on the top nav bar, etc).

Thanks for your suggestion. To consider your needs in future developments, it would be helpful to get some more context in the ticket. My understanding is, that sometimes you want to query a single instance, sometimes the ingle instance including federated instances. Could you give an example for these two situations?

A helpful template could be this: (fill in the gaps and/or customize according to your needs)

User Story: As a user, I want to _________ so I can _________

Context of use: I assume the user/I would want to _______ because___

Current Problems: Currently, _________ this is not good, because ________

Possible Solution: One way to improve the situation for the user is ______
