Description

When typing something into for example "Page in this category" I get an dropdown with autosuggestions:

When I now press the tabulator-key I would expect to jump to the first entry in the list and be able to select an entry with arrow keys and/or tabulator-key and accept it with pressing Enter.
Instead pressing the tabulator-key jumps to the question-mark and adds a pill with my currently written text to the field:

(Note: It does work already if you use arrow-down instead of tab.)

@Mooeypoo and OOUI team: We are using the categoryMultiselect widget here, and to me this behavior looks like a duplicate of T187398: MenuTagMultiselectWidget: The first item should be automatically highlighted+selected when the menu opens. Would it be possible to allow the same behavior for the CategoryMultiselectWidget?

I think this is the correct behavior. Tab key should be used for navigating between different fields, arrows are used for dropdowns.

@Lea_Lacroix_WMDE I've had a short conversation with @Tonina_Zhelyazkova_WMDE and @gabriel-wmde that it's our plan to deprecate CapsuleMultiselectWidget very soon, see T183299. There's no active development planned for CapsuleMultiselectWidget any more. You will get sustaining support by switching over to TagMultiselectWidget, its superior and cleaner on many levels.

@Mooeypoo I've mentioned the corresponding task T183299 above, in my understanding WMDE team is taking on the work (which can be oriented on similar ones already linked there) and will reach out to us if they run into problems. Everybody fine with that?

Excellent, I saw a few people working on migrating Capsule*Widget to Tag*Widget, but wasn't sure who does what. @Lea_WMDE if you guys need any help with that, please let me know.
