Description

It would be nice to be able to temporarily rearrange table columns when viewing a wikitable table on desktop.

This is similar to how table columns can be temporarily sorted. In addition to sorting a column, it'd be neat if you could shift its position.

By "rearrange table columns", do you mean like dragging them to move in a user defined manner or sorting the columns based on a value in a specific row (as opposed to sorting rows based on the value in a specific column)

I think the former. For example, it would be nice if the table at https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Tables&oldid=1056142540#Multi-column_sortable_standard could have its "Outcome" column be temporarily moved next to the "Year" column.
