Description

Project Name: wikibox

Wikitech Usernames of requestors: Harej, Addshore

Purpose: Wikibox will be an on-demand MediaWiki instance creation service. The initial defined use case will be for developers running test MediaWiki instances for their code – a current significant use case for Cloud VPS projects.

Brief description: The implementation will be through a web application that feeds requests to a celery worker that produces Dockerfiles per user specification, including requested extensions, services, and patches. This is done only through an API – arbitrary Dockerfile creation will not be allowed. These Dockerfiles are compiled into Docker containers and then orchestrated through Kubernetes. The utility of the VPS project will be to create a (small) Kubernetes cluster and Docker registry.

How soon you are hoping this can be fulfilled: Sooner is better but it's not urgent.
