When translating articles between languages that use a different script, leaving the article title unchanged is often done by mistake. We can show a warning to remind users to edit the title when a different script is expected, as illustrated below:
Trigger
Ideally we don't want to show the warning from the very beginning since that won't be fair given that the user had no chance to edit the title. Thus, we want to check for the issue after the user added some content already.
Information
Title in a different script
The target wiki uses a different script. Consider editing the title to follow the guidelines of the wiki where the content will be published.
- The "Learn more" link will direct users to the guidelines for article titles (the corresponding page on the target language to Q3186256).
- The "mark as resolved" action will discard the issue and not show it again for the translation.
