The ACME topographic map (currently labelled as "topological"; see T196853) is currently the only external service which shows contour lines or similar by default. The map does not have coverage outside the US and isn't even run by the company that owns the map. It wouldn't hurt to add the OSM cycle map since it doesn't look terrible and has contour lines which are correct most of the time. (URL would be the same as the current OSM link except the M would be replaced with a C.)
