Create special pages for lexemes
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

Some new special pages would be interesting for editors.

  • Special:AllLexemes (list the lexemes ordered by lemma, not by ID) this would include the possibility to filter the list by start or end of the lemmas like AllPages/Test on Wikipedia
  • Special:AllLexemesForm
  • Special:AllLexemesReverse and Special:AllLexemeFormsReverse (would look up for the ending of lemmas)

Event Timeline

Does "alphabetical" ordering even make sense for words in a collection of vastly different writing systems? If this is done I would recommend it be accompanied by some filtering - for language, part of speech, grammatical features, certain properties perhaps.

Do we really need to invest the time into creating special pages for these? Or should we rather invest the time in getting Lexemes into the query service?

@Lydia_Pintscher I also think that this would be solved by integrating the query service.

WDQS works for me! I'm not sure where that is of course - I guess I could check Phabricator!

I'm marking this as declined as I believe these pages would only be useful for a short time. As soon as we have more data they become useless just like it has happened for items.
