In Wikidocumentaries, users are required to use real names.

• How does MediaWiki handle this?

Spam prevents us from having an open registering

• We must research all possible measures to be able to open registration

Registering through third party sites, OAuth etc

• What problems are caused by registering with the real name in relation to Wikimedia accounts?
• There should probably be a Wikidocumentaries account that is connected with the Wikimedia account. The Wikimedia account would not be disclosed in Wikidocumentaries, and in Wikimedia projects, the user would make edits with the Wikimedia account.

Current solution

• Users log in with the Extension:ConfirmAccount extension. The settings should be made more user-friendly, see https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:ConfirmAccount#Minimal_settings
