iOS mobile App needs a way to implement a community sitewide block or protest blackout
Open, MediumPublic

Description

Sibling of T198692

Starting July 3rd, at midnight (CET, GMT+2) Italian Wikipedia has entered a total blackout to protest against the EU copyright directive proposal that will be voted by the Plenary of the European Parliament of July, 5th. See:
https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Comunicato_3_luglio_2018/en

The mobile app is still accessible and this confuses many users.

We need these feature also on the mobile app.

(I understand that this is most probably an idea for the future - and one that we would not like to use ever - at this point in time, but there's that)
