Description

Pasting a complete file name into the media insert widget does not find the image.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open a page with the VE
  2. Click on Insert / Media
  3. Paste a complete file name like "Köln Panorama.jpg" into the input field while the field is still flickering/searching for an image based on the page title
  4. Result: "No results found."

Hack to continue

  1. Delete the last character of the file name, here the "g"
  2. Retype the last character of the file name, here the "g"
  3. The image is shown and I can select the image for insertion.

This appears to be a duplicate of T182014, which in this case is exacerbated by the general slowness of the beta cluster. To verify that, I followed your reproduction steps on a page on the German Beta Wikipedia. If I waited until the media dialogue had fully loaded before pasting, it worked fine (first screenshot). If I pasted it quite quickly, then it didn't work as you described (second screenshot).
