Consider visually ranking/labeling the tasks by level of complexity or time needed to complete
Open, MediumPublic

Description

Current: All issues articles have are displayed with the same style of badge:

grafik.png (374×556 px, 16 KB)

Idea: More difficult tasks like adding sources or updating outdated information could get a different color/style than the easier task of checking whether a link marked as dead and/or replaced with an archived version is indeed dead and the archive is valid.

I like the idea. I would not do this via color due to accessibility and style reasons (quickly looks "too confetti"). The most solid seems for me to just add "schwierig:" or "einfach:" in front of the badges – something like this:

or "Ungeprüfter Link (Einfach)"

The types-of-problems and their grade-of-difficulty would ideally be in some JSON or so, in case they need to be adjusted.

There are only two categories, of which the "simple" one only contains the unchecked links. I also don't think that it is a good idea to call something "difficult", most of the times finding references or updating articles takes quite a bit of effort, but is not inherently difficult to do.

Perhaps we can revisit this topic once we settle on a color scheme?

I like it as it is, it is very descriptive and tells you what you'll have to do to solve the task!

Adding levels of difficulty or labels like "beginner" "advanced" would be generally a good thing to consider, but I would not do them for now.
We (the IF team) are currently working on improving the overall new editor journey, and I would wait for this work to be developed further before we start categorizing tasks into "easy" and "difficult" or similar.

In conclusion: I'm so frank as to put this in the backlog for it to be reconsidered, as we develop our onboarding strategies over the next year(s) and thereby also keep developing this tool bit by bit.
