Cirdan moved this task from Unsorted to Bugs on the InternetArchiveBot (v2.0) board.
Cirdan subscribed.

The bug is affecting "cite interview", "cite encyclopedia", "cite episode", and "vcite" .. maybe others but it seems to be the less-common forms of cite templates.

@Cirdan and @Cyberpower678 .. this is a fairly disruptive bug impacting a lot of cites.. what would be the chance of expediting?

@Green_Cardamom Unfortunately, I'm not a developer of IABot. If it becomes too large of a problem, you can stop the bot until the problem is resolved. (That's what I did for dewiki until T196505 is resolved.)

@Cirdan, ok I've seen your activity here and wasn't sure thought maybe you were involved with WMF helping out with some bugs

@Green_Cardamom No, I'm coordinating the IABot efforts for dewiki, hence my involvement with bug sorting here, and was recently granted root access to the IABot interface which will hopefully allow me to help with template configuration issues in the future. (I'm a volunteer.)

WaybackMedic now fixes these automatically on enwiki and has caught up the backlog as of July 24. There might be up to a 2 month delay to fix any after that.

I've updated the template definitions. Should be fixed now. If there are still affected templates, it's likely it's because the template actually doesn't support the existing parameters.
