Browser issue. The page has $('#mw-content-text img').length = 1135 images.

If your browser crashes, feel free to file a bug report in the bug tracker of your browser.

Eventually it did load. My browsers didn't crash, but did stall long enough to make me think they might have. Perhaps Mediawiki could warn the user when they try to create a page like this.

That's a problem to report to your browser vendor instead of MediaWiki.
