JewelCli does not seem to be actively maintained, with last commit in https://github.com/lexicalscope/jewelcli being 5 years old. This starts to show - e.g. https://github.com/lexicalscope/jewelcli/issues/38 prevents us from having more fluent design on the options. We may consider moving to another library, e.g. JCommander, which would support Java 8 and be more actively maintained.
