Background:
Before diving into any edits, tweaks or redesigns that will aim to increase mobile contribution to Wikipedia, we need to now take a look around to gain an understanding of what are the current best practices and trends in mobile editing user interface design. A comparative analysis will give us an opportunity to methodically review the different kinds of editing experiences that are happen on the mobile web, i0S and android platforms.
Goals of Study:
- Collect data by category of editing experience type, focusing on both long and short form editing experiences.
- Identify specific features/characteristics that might allow for a consistent mobile ui across products.
- Set the stage for prototyping of new ideas.
