Contribution of scanned maps from the IGN to Wikimedia Commons

Description

This contribution ("mapas impresos escaneados") is the first part of T195121 that will be addressed. It includes:

  • The following chunks of topographic maps at a scale of 1:25 ("MTN25 edición impresa", 11 077 files, ~483 081 MB):
    • Andalucía: 1665 .zip files, ~68 077 MB
    • Aragón: 949 .zip files, ~44 777 MB
    • Asturias: 329 .zip files, ~16 965 MB
    • Canarias: 181 .zip files, ~8874 MB
    • Cantabria: 180 .zip files, ~9546 MB
    • Castilla-La Mancha: 1616 .zip files, ~61 017 MB
    • Castilla y León: 1874 .zip files, ~81 777 MB
    • Cataluña: 741 .zip files, ~36 872 MB
    • Ceuta: 1 .zip file, ~40 MB
    • Melilla: 1 .zip file, ~36 MB
    • C. Valenciana: 559 .zip files, ~23 480 MB
    • Extremadura: 873 .zip files, ~32 974 MB
    • Galicia: 766 .zip files, ~38 060 MB
    • Baleares: 176 .zip files, ~ 7339 MB
    • Madrid: 260 .zip files, ~11 493 MB
    • Murcia: 295 .zip files, ~11 447 MB
    • Navarra: 256 .zip files, ~12 509 MB
    • País Vasco: 226 .zip files, ~11 036 MB
    • La Rioja: 129 .zip files, ~6760 MB
  • 4127 .zip files of topographic maps at a scale of 1:50 ("MTN50 edición impresa", ~176 562 MB)
  • 345 .zip files of maps for Spanish provinces ("Mapa provincial 200 edición impresa", ~29 816 MB)
  • 48 .zip files of maps for Spanish autonomous communities ("Mapa autonómico edición impresa", ~6759 MB)

Each .zip file contains three files: .jpg, .ecw and .prj. We will only use the .jpg files.

The "MTN25 edición impresa" series must be downloaded chunk by chunk, while the rest of series can be downloaded all at once if desired.
