Upload filenames provided by Monumental are automatic and are often based on the original monument/building details in the official listing dataset. This is quite often long and/or misleading as it's often not the name that everyone knows the monument by.

Also, serious photographers (the very people we want to enter WLM with high-quality images) often want to have the ability to name their files on Commons according to their own preferred naming scheme.

The UK upload tool has long allowed (and indeed encouraged) users to type in their own filename, and it would be good if Monumental could allow that, too.
