Lego messages in English
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

Some messages probably produce untranslatable sentences in some languages, for instance where "#FixCopyright" and the verb "tweet" are inserted via variables after "to". The normal i18n practice is to avoid such lego constructions altogether; if they're absolutely necessary, you need to think of constructions which maximise translatability and at any rate expand message documentation (qqq) to let translators know how to work around the limitations produced (e.g. what the variables can contain and why, whether they can hard-code the translation without using the variable, or move the variable elsewhere, or change the sentence radically so that it's compatible with the variable content).
