Description

Testcases page:

IABot doesn't do any conversions. The first entry is a control case and should convert as it doesn't contain errors. The rest contain errors as a test of IABot conversion.

Wayback is no good, as it redirects to the active Webarchive template. You need to use something like WebCite or Memento.

Dunno. I think we were talking about if IABot was able to do wayback conversions correctly with all the edge case problems, so I set up this testcases page as your request. Guess it is not testable this way.

Oh, you're right. But because Wayback redirects to Webarchive inappropriately, IABot will not convert them thinking it's an offshoot of Webarchive, which right now is not wrong. The redirect needs to be deleted. I could do that, but I would like to know why it exists in the first place.

Mostly talk pages and other NS. They should be converted before deleting, to avoid creating red links upsetting people. I might be able to work on this and will get back.

But Wayback shouldn't even be on Wikipedia anymore. It should be safe to delete now.

Yes I was confused those are non-transclusions (there was actually one transclision that someone added recently amazing) - agree safe to delete.

The test cases need to be altered somewhat. You can't put the same URL in every template as IABot is connecting them and considering them all belonging to the same original template. So it's not updating them all.

Check the test cases. IABot made edits. If you want to do additional tests, try making them into references with bracketed plain links before the template. Make sure to add addition test to the reference.
