Description

This task will track the allocation of spare system wmf6407 as cumin2001.codfw.wmnet. This will replace sarin.codfw.wmnet

  • - new hostname labels applied to host by onsite via T204173
  • - bios/drac/serial setup/testing
  • - mgmt dns entries added for hostname
  • - network port setup (description, enable, vlan)
  • - production dns entries added
  • - operations/puppet update (install_server at minimum, other files if possible)
  • - OS installation (stretch)
  • - puppet accept/initial run
  • - handoff for service implementation

cumin2001 has now had role:spare applied and is awaiting service implementation. I'm assuming you are the person to do this, as you were involved in the request of a replacement with specifications. If not, please assign back to me and I'll track down whoever is!
