Description

NOTE: This is the intended behavior per design, and was also picked up during testing in T196398 as expected behavior by multiple users.

Steps to reproduce:

User opens an article to read
From the article view, user taps on the overflow menu and navigates to "Reading lists".
User returns to reading the article
User taps on the "<W" button in the top left of the toolbar

Expected

The "<W" icon should always take the user back to the Explore feed. However, it is instead taking the user to whichever of 4 btm menu views was last open in the bottom nav.

Actual

User is taken to the "Reading lists" view

If a user opens an article from a reading list (for example: Reading lists -> Saved), should the "<W" icon also take the user back to the explore feed?

Hi @cooltey - Yes. Because the "<W" icon is purely to return to the Explore feed. The device back nav will take users to the reading list.
