If I click on the star in order to follow an article, I see a large unaesthetic band that goes to the left border. This does not happen if I click the other buttons (Article, Talk, ...); the dashed lines only apply around the button.

Yeah, this is a problem with CSS that I've observed also. We should probably remove the outline on focus for a few of those header elements.
