Looking at places like Bushiribana and their definition of 'population', this doesn't look like valuable information.
To preserve some quality, I'd recommend to find better info or refrain from importing.

This file was downloaded from Geonames. The file can be filtered for cities only using the following codes in column 8: PPL, PPLL, PPLC. An explanation for those codes can be found here: Codes. The website looks very trustworthy and we found some very positive reviews of it.

It seems this database contains populated places of different sizes, some of them being a subpart of another (for example Primavera is part of Oranjestad). Unfortunately we have no way to find what level each item is. According to the aboce link to codes, here are the meaning of the three ones we considered:
PPL - populated place: a city, town, village, or other agglomeration of buildings where people live and work
PPLL - populated locality: an area similar to a locality but with a small group of dwellings or other buildings
PPLC - capital of a political entity (there is only one of these: Oranjestad)
