Can you please include the information about wiki where this was observed?
I have removed <br>s from all CX messages. There are only some non-English messages left that still have this tag instead of regular line break.

I re-checked in enwiki (wmf.23) - en:Orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing to Spanish warnings will display <br>:

And translating es:Triodo to English - as soon as I changed the name of the article to "Triode", the following message appears:
