Google Search Console identified Mobile Usability related issues
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

Can something please be done about pages this (on the upstream MediaWiki
end) so they no longer trigger such errors?

You might say yes it is only one page, but still would be good to fix.

Search Console has identified that your site is affected by 3 new Mobile Usability related issues. This means that Mobile
Usability may be negatively affected in Google Search results. We encourage you to fix these issues.

Top new issues found, ordered by number of affected pages:

Feel free to file specific tasks with clear steps to reproduce an actual problem (and not only some one-liner output by some other website).
Please do not report more than one problem in a task. You are free to customize CSS, use different skins, install MobileFrontend, ...

  1. Run your wiki through https://search.google.com/search-console/mobile-usability

Indeed, the problem is seen after installing MobileFrontend, as index.php?useformat=desktop is the toggle switcher page.

As said, if there is specific more information what those lines are supposed to mean (for example, what is enough space between which mobile elements), feel free to file specific tasks for each problem which have enough info to investigate. Thanks!

Yes Google didn't say what line number the problem lay.
But e.g., on my pure html (non-wiki) site, jidanni.org, I simply started fixing from the closest placed elements, like <a>...</a><a>...</a> and before long pressing Google's "test again" button said "all OK".

which makes this a "Something is wrong, please fix it but we won't tell you what and how" task, which is why I closed this task as invalid as it's not actionable
