Measure group polarization in Jade
Open, LowPublic

I want to keep this on the table: we're currently making the assumption that bias can be mitigated via JADE by attracting a diverse group of people, who disagree in constructive ways and will build a community which creates healthier and better-quality collaborative results than any aggregate measure of individuals.

On the other hand, there's a potential for group polarization, for example if borderline deletionists get together via JADE and talk each other into even more extreme views such as "delete everything not by experienced users", to pick an absurd example.

Perhaps we can find a way to measure or counteract this group polarization by design. My instinct is that the key will be encouraging disagreement and discussion.
