It seems one of the recent changes removes the MathML from the DOM in VE.

While this currently affects only a small number of people that use the plugin it will be a general concern as soon as MathML becomes the default.

@Physikerwelt: Could you reply to the previous comment, please? Also, the Due Date on this task says 2018. If this task is done, please resolve it (via Add Action... → Change Status in the dropdown menu). If it is not done, please remove or reset the Due Date (via ). Thanks!
@Esanders it depends on HTML5 support of Chrome, i.e., MathML https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=6606#c70
While there is a very active and ongoing community effort to eventually implement MathML support in chrome, the ticket is more than 10 years old. I hope we will be able to get it done before BER opens. Thus I set this as new due-date;-)
