Description

I've been experiencing problems with AWB. I keep trying to log into my bot account - Syde BOT - so that I can perform automated edits across various pages. The task in question would be far too tedious to do manually.

I have the most up to date version of AWB but it still won't let me log in. It keeps saying "Check page failed to load. / Check your internet is working and that the Wiki is online." which is utter rubbish. The wiki IS online. My internet IS working. So I shouldn't be having these problems.

https://csydes.wikia.com/wiki/C.Syde%27s_Wiki is the wiki that I'm trying to use AWB on. I have a heap of pages that I need to do automated edits on. But it's not a task that I'm willing to pass on, as I have a specific idea in mind that would be complicated to explain.

Is your version of AWB 5.x.x.x, or 6.x.x.x? Because only the latter now supports editing Wikia/Fandom*, but it must currently be downloaded and installed manually; the upgrader in 5.x.x.x does not offer it as an upgrade option yet.

* What's going on here is that Wikia/Fandom has (finally) added HTTPS support, but it only allows connections via TLS 1.2. AWB 5.x.x.x and older is written using .NET Framework 3.5, which only supports TLS 1.0 and 1.1; to get 1.2 support, it was necessary to change to .NET 4.0, but this was a big enough change that the devs felt justified in bumping the major version number and not automatically upgrading all current installations yet.

Hey, I recognise you from Discord! As for the question you asked, it is version 5.x.x.x. How do I obtain version 6.x.x.x.? Like what site can it be downloaded from?

I've downloaded it now. Now what do I do? I'm trying to run it. But I'm having issues. How do I get it installed etc.?
