Extension:LinkSuggest makes it difficult to type opening parentheses "(" in links
Closed, InvalidPublic

When using Extension:LinkSuggest on a wiki, when typing a link in the edit box, attempting to type an opening parenthesis ( causes one of the autocomplete suggestions to be highlighted instead of typing the character. In order to actually type it, various gymnastics must be done to work around the autosuggest, such as deleting and quickly retyping a character, or completing the link and inserting the ( afterwards.

What version of LinkSuggest are you using? This was fixed on rELISa72ee43c41e98fedb510bbad6262f5a2d28ebfb0. Try using the master version of the extension.

We're currently on 2.0.1 (db756c7). @corey can you try bumping our version?

Oh, that patch landed on the 1.31 branch, it's not present on 1.30. I'm using the 1.31 branch on MediaWiki 1.30 without problems, it's safe to upgrade this extension.

After upgrading LinkSuggest, this appears to be working correctly. Sorry for the trouble (and the delay in an update).
