I've deployed an updated version on staging.

Note - The value I have to check for Financial Type is $formValues.contributionType_name - which feels a bit unrobust & it became quickly clear that some leg work would need to be done to make this unit-testable - so if we want to keep that live we should open a follow up Phab.

Note - the following screenshots are all generated from staging. Apart from adding handling for ignoring 'Dear' as a greeting that part is unchanged so I only did screenshot variants of Endowment & Not Endowment

Can we modify the SL wording so that Endowment & non-Endowment TYs are distinguishable at a glance? That would be a huge win for DS workflow - (thinking of SL copy...)

Hey there! It looks to me like the original small dollar TY email subject line was changed when the Endowment email got updated. The old SL had a dollar amount in it: Your $ 1.00 gift = free knowledge for billions

Would adding the amount back in be enough of a difference between the two? And if so, could we remove that space between the currency symbol and amount?

Hi @CCogdill_WMF , @Eileenmcnaughton had a comment on the subject line in the latest patch that said this:

This didn't work last time around - ie. the $amount & $currency were not available for the subject & the upgrade script skipped it so I manually updated it to this - this is just fixing the script

Sounds like it's unavailable, and the current version doesn't have it

Legal approved the following Endowment SL, which adds "forever" at the
end. @MBeat33 is that a good signifier?

forever = endowment only works!

• Will there be an endowment@ option in the dropdown for sender?
• Will Civi know to deploy the correct TY email based on the ContributionType?

2. Yes, it adjusts the text based on the type per the emails above

• I will follow up by seeing about adding the 'forever' but this should be usable now
