The current site just relies on WP default gallery functionality, which is strongly limited in functionality and customizability.
Many plugins on the other hands are overly bloated, loading unnecessary JavaScript and CSS on every page load.
We should try to find a balance between those and offer a gallery solution.
Envira Gallery has got widely the best reviews from all gallery plugins, providing both functionality and performance and also excellent mobile handling.
