cloudvirt1027 and 1028 won't PXE boot
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

These two hosts are part of a set of six. 1025, 1026, 1029 and 1030 work as expected but these two just hang forever when I launch the PXE boot process.

cloudvirt1027 has multiple NICs and multiple MACs per NIC, like so:

The third NIC is being used and it has these:

NIC.Integrated.1-3-1    Ethernet                = D0:94:66:62:A8:D7
                        iSCSI                   = D0:94:66:62:A8:D8
                        FIP                     = D0:94:66:62:A8:D8
                        WWN                     = 20:00:D0:94:66:62:A8:D8
                        WWPN                    = 20:01:D0:94:66:62:A8:D8

The MAC in the Puppet repo in DHCP config is from the "FIP" line above, but the one trying to DHCP is from the "Ethernet" line. It needs to be fixed in DHCP config it seems.

FIP = Fibre Channel

The fix should be: "D0:94:66:62:A8:D8" (FIP) -> D0:94:66:62:A8:D7 (Ethernet) for cloudvirt1027 and accordingly for the other servers.
